Job Title – Class 1/ Transport Operator Dual Role

Location – Coalville

Contract – Permanent

Days required – Friday – Monday (4 days on)

Shifts – 4 x 12 hour shift with the same start time all 4 days

Role Objective:

Our Client is looking for an experienced LGV/HGV class 1 Driver to join there team, providing a first class service in Coalville, This job is a bespoke role as they are looking for someone to drive on behalf of the company on a Friday and Monday Days and then work in the office as a Transport Operator on Saturday and Sunday days, dispatching drivers, Monitoring estimated arrival times etc

Summary of Role Responsibilities:

· Dispatch Drivers

· Brief & De-brief drivers

· Monitor ETA’s

· Move the plan around as necessary & when required

· Rebook Loads

· Comply with all Driver Hours and Road transport Legislation

· Feedback any issues

· Maintaining Safety and security loads at all times

· Keep in regular communication with customer and colleagues to update progress and manage expectations effectively

· Drive in a safe and responsible manner

· Carrying out necessary checks to ensure vehicle is safe and legal

· Ensure the vehicle is loaded safely

· All deliveries reach the customer safely, efficiently and on time

· Complete daily vehicle checks, both pre and post-shift

· Keep and honest and accurate record of all vehicle checks

Requirements

· A valid C+E (Class 1) drivers licence with a minimum of 6 points

· A valid digital Tacho and CPC card

· No Previous disqualifications NI, DD or DR

· A detailed understanding of the rules and regulations around drivers hours

· Physically fir to meet the demands of a multi-drop driving role

· Hardworking, flexible and positive can do attitude

· Undergo a background check and drug/alcohol tests

· Previous experience of working in a transport office

· Understand WTD

· Good communication skills

· Computer Literate

Desirable

· Background in a Transport/Logistics Environment
