A well established and award winning care organisation is currently seeking a support worker to work in a specialist residential home for children and young adults with Complex needs and trauma. They require passionate and empathetic individuals who can help with the provision of 24/7 support. This setting supports children from the ages of 8 and is a 5 bed setting close to Buxton. If you can provide emotional support on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis with children with varying needs including Autism then we want to hear from you. This is a residential setting so applicants for this position must be available for shifts including days, weekends and sleep ins.

Responsibilities
  • To encourage a positive environment for all children and adults to thrive and to act responsibly in any interactive sessions
  • To provide personal care to all children and adults if required at the service
  • To connect with the residents by using intensive interaction and stimulating activities
  • Supporting heavily with challenging behaviour within the facilities
What is required?
  • A minimum of 1 years experience required
  • To work shift patterns
  • Supporting with challenging behaviour and complex needs
  • Own transport
  • An NVQ Level 3 in Children’s residential care (desirable)
