The Paediatric Respiratory and Atopic team in CTMUHB have a post of a Band 6 Paediatric Respiratory and Atopic nurse specialist as 37.5 hrs per week - full time.The Band 6 post holder will be part of the wider Respiratory and Atopic team that work pan CTMUHB with the primary base of the role being Princess of Wales Hospital. Therefore, the ability to travel across sites in a timely manner, with access to your own car is essential. The CTMUHB Respiratory and Atopic team work across sites to ensure the person with the right skills for the role is being utilised and to ensure peer support.The post holder will be pivotal to ensuring that children diagnosed with respiratory or atopic conditions receive care in line with current best practice and they should demonstrate innovative ways of working.Applicants should demonstrate an interest in the specialist area and demonstrable experience would be beneficial - this could be as a link champion or in a specialist role. A passion for respiratory and atopic care is essential for this specialist post.The post holder will be supported to complete the relevant respiratory qualifications, should they not have yet have these - as these are essential to the role.The Children’s Respiratory/Atopic Nurse will work as part of a team providing comprehensive care packages for children and young people with respiratory and atopic disease, both in the hospital and community settings to meet the changing needs of the developing Respiratory/Allergy service. The post will link Community and Primary Care Services using joint protocols and guidelines.The post holder will participate in the delivery of education for Health Professionals as well as for children and their families.Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is part of the NHS Wales family.
