CWM TAF MORGANNWG MIND

Based in Merthyr Tydfil (and provision for hybrid working) with responsibility for service delivery across Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taff and Bridgend.

Cwm Taf Morgannwg Mind (formerly Merthyr and the Valleys Mind) is the major provider of user-focussed support to those seeking emotional and mental health services across a wide geographical area. Our main areas of work are primary care and prevention through services which target people with mild to moderate mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression and self-esteem; support and recoveryservices which enable people to return to their normal state of health, mind or strength; and housing relatedsupport which seeks to prevent homelessness and assist in accessing housing.

Our work is mainly funded through grants and contracts, but over the past five years we’ve developed a robust fundraising strategy, generating in the region of £1.4m annually to cover our operational and business development costs.

We are recruiting an individual who will be able to build on the success of our current Chief Executive Officer who is leaving to take on a role within the wider Mind Cymru network.

Inspiring, dynamic and visionary, the successful candidate will possess proven leadership skills at a senior level and will work closely with the management team to deliver the charity’s strategic objectives across all service areas.

Commercial awareness, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and a talent for identifying new opportunities for growth are key to the role, as is the ability to motivate an experienced team, our volunteers, supporters and stakeholders.
