We are currently recruiting an experienced Chef to join our team at one of our Independant Schools on York. This chef will prepare and serve fresh food for the chidren boarding at this Independant School.

We are a contract catering company that provides a fresh food service, serving seasonal and innovative food to a rosette standard for around 200 pupils daily. This position will cover part of the normal daily unch service and for the boraders evening meals.

You will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of all dishes, presented at the counters & serviced at counters. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about food and looking for further development within a team of 9.

Your roles and duties include, but is not limited to,

  • Creating and serving imaginative food, designed to exceed expectations
  • Using fresh, seasonal ingredients within your menus
  • Ensuring the correct stock rotation and food storage procedures
  • Ensuring all staff members follow and comply with all company health, safety and hygiene policies and practices

This is a permanent position, working 32 hours per week, term time only, 12:30pm until 8:30pm Monday to Thursday and 10am until 6pm on Sundays. A degree of flexibility is required to cater to the needs of the business and the unit. Proposed start date 1st September. Subject to a enhanced DBS check being successfully completed.
