Responsible for leading the hospital and Group Clinical Services to deliver the group strategy and to provide high quality clinical care in support of the Royal Free Group’s governing objectives to achieve optimum patient care and experience, and efficient use of resources. As well as their leadership role within the hospital, the CEO will spend a significant amount of time leading the management of external stakeholder relationships and promoting the hospital and wider group externally within the Integrated Care System (ICS), taking a place based leadership role with local Authorities and Trust governors.

The CEO will provide and ensure there is a constant and visible site leadership to ensure delivery of Group strategy, clinical practice group recommendations and the new hospital transformation. They have a critical role to play in deploying strategic thinking and leadership to enable transformation of healthcare to patients through stakeholder partnership working across their hospital and the wider group.

The CEO will advise the Board and Hospital Business Units on the operational delivery of Group Clinical Services, maintenance of national and local performance targets and standards whilst retaining a clear focus on the quality, safety, productivity and financial agendas
