Communications and Engagement: CBS Change Communications SM

Level 4 Associate Director, reports to CBS Change Communications Lead

The team develop communications and engagement programmes that activate our brand and our purpose internally, so that our partners and people feel connected, understand the role they play in EYs success and do so in a place where they belong.

The CBS Change Communications team works directly with the business to devise and deliver communication and engagement plans to support large change projects across the firm.

The Change Communications SM is a key adviser to the Transformation project change leads, responsible for delivering communications which bring change to life for internal audiences, aligning with our brand and EY’s overall UK&I Comms & Engagement strategy.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders and project teams, advising them on their communications and suggesting innovative ways to evolve their messaging and channels
  • Partner with transformation project teams to provide credible, strategic advice on communications that are fully aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate to develop and deliver an effective internal communications strategy for key transformation projects, ensuring that this is aligned to EY’s overall communications strategy and narrative.
  • Use insight gained from rigorous measurement to inform your strategy and to demonstrate its effectiveness to senior leaders.
  • Create communications that engage audiences using a range of innovative channels including - but not limited to – videocasts and interactive webcasts and calls, face to face events, emails and presentations, social media content and press releases.
  • Manage internal and external suppliers where relevant to deliver channel content.
  • Coach and collaborate with colleagues in the BMC Hub as appropriate to ensure effective delivery through the Hub’s agile teams, ensuring clear briefing, quality control and timely delivery.

Skills And Attributes For Success
  • Proven track record of success in a senior change communications role.
  • Experience of building strong relationships and influencing senior business leaders and peers
  • Experience of creating and executing change communication strategies that support business objectives
  • Knowledge and experience across the range of internal communications channels
  • Enthusiasm to create innovative solutions and look for new ways of engaging.
  • Excellent writing capabilities, project management and organisation skills
  • Experience of working with communications agencies
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to operate as a team player

To qualify for the role you must have
  • Experience of working in professional services or matrix organisations or large corporates
  • + Seven years’ experience in change communications.
  • Proven track record in delivering change communications plans
  • Excellent understanding of change management practice

Ideally, you’ll also have

Experience of working in EY and understanding of the model, the region and a proven network within the firm.

Experience of commissioning and overseeing campaigns through external agencies
