The Role

Reporting to the Change Portfolio Lead, the Change Adoption Manager will be deployed in one or more significant projects/ programmes to play a major role in ensuring the business change is successfully delivered, transitioned, embedded, measured and improved within the target operating model in a business area.

This colleague will identify change impacts, set-up strategies, frameworks and standards for change adoption. They will guide the project team and business partners to ensure the transition and implementation of solutions (both business and technology) achieves operational success and drives business ownership and adoption by end-users in a sustainable way. Activities include developing, delivering and tracking of change management activities aligned to the change impact identified, including communications, training, stakeholder engagement, change impact assessment, business readiness assessment, resistance management, change reinforcement and post implementation benefits realisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • During the project/programme, create business change enablement and adoption strategies, with an approach to cover agreed change management deliverables.
  • Define and execute plans to support transition and business adoption activities, with a particular focus on articulating what will change, including impacts to the business.
  • Conduct impact analysis to help develop and execute the change management strategy and plan, working with project teams and business partners (stakeholders) to achieve operational success and drive adoption by colleagues.
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress pre, during and post implementation.
  • Understand team culture to identify and manage any resistance pre and post implementation.
  • Develop, deliver and manage communication plan and materials including drop-in clinics, demos, newsletters, Q&As, and leveraging Corporate Communications for large-scale programmes.
  • Support the business in developing change management capabilities including stakeholder training on change engagement, business adoption, how to manage resistance and how to reinforce communication messages.
  • Develop or enhance existing frameworks, standards, tools and templates for business readiness, adoption and benefits realisation aspects when delivering change into the business.
  • Conduct ongoing and effective change impact assessments, business readiness assessments and stakeholder analysis as part of the change adoption plan.
  • Ensure business readiness and adoption risks and issues are proactively managed across all stakeholders.
  • Design and mobilise a continuous improvement framework for deliverables which will sustain over the long term.
  • Monitor that the change is successfully embedded and that ownership is vested in the business during the go-live/transition period and post live stabilisation period, including managing any longer-term deliverables.
  • Collaborate with business owners over any process improvements to operating model or solutions delivered during agreed period of stabilisation.
  • Partner with project teams to provide best practice on the successful execution of the end-to-end change management strategies, where not embedded in a specific project.
  • Document lessons learnt to identify and implement improvements to the change management strategy and methodology used within Investment Change.

Experience
  • Experience applying change management/business adoption management principles, methodologies and tools for implementing change programmes.
  • Experience developing readiness programmes, training or stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in developing and delivering communication to successfully embed change.
