Smallridge Bros Ltd have a requirement for a full time Centralised Service Specialistat their Collabear depot. This is a very exciting new role within our organisation for a motivated, and ambitious, candidate wanting career growth opportunities within the industry. Smallridge Bros’ is a successful John Deere dealer with 4 depots across Devon and Cornwall.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Group Service Manager; contributing to the profitable growth of service-labour sales and engaging department personnel. The role will be based at our Barnstaple depot and provide support across all 4 depots.

Essential Duties:

  • Monitors, through remote service tools, the condition/status and maintenance contracts of customer machines.
  • Evaluates remote machine diagnostic information where needed.
  • Provides all necessary information to the responsible service person, for successful completion of work.
  • Monitors and updates machine status and ownership on the relevant business system.
  • Creates Maintenance plans for equipment and maintains the company’s ‘Fixed Price PDI’ and ‘All-in package’ service modules.
  • Monitors product updates and follows-up with relevant Depot Service Manager.
  • Assists the Group Service Manager on day-to-day operations and tasks.
  • Provides telephone support to customers regarding machine uptime and optimization questions.
  • Collaborates with sales, parts, and the Precision Ag departments to provide feedback on service-delivery and to help improve service solutions.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in agriculture and ideally familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
  • Ambitious with the desire, and ability, to progress to a management level position
  • Ability to use standard computer applications and app-based systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with an ability to motivate and inspire.
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment, particularly during busy periods.
  • Could possibly suit a recent graduate who can demonstrate the right attributes.
