Casual Customer Services Assistant

Directorate: Cultural Services

Service Area: Regeneration

Salary: £10.62 per hour

Hours: As and when required

We are looking to recruit a Casual Duty Managers to work along side the venues team at Middlesbrough Town Hall and Middlesbrough Theatre

Key Duties And Responsibilities

Prepare the venue performance spaces for opening to the public, open up all necessary areas, check for health and safety hazards and ensure the auditoria are clear of any obstructions.

Organising staff for events, placing them at appropriate points in the building & delegating responsibilities to each area.

Briefing staff on their responsibilities prior to each event, and ensuring that those responsibilities are carried out in line with the venue’s expectations & reporting back after each show to the Senior Management team.

Secure the venue at the end of a shift, ensuring all monies are secured and access points locked and alarmed.

Opening up both the Middlesbrough Town Hall and Theatre, ensuring the building looks presentable and being responsible for the overall presentation of the buildings.

Develop an understanding of the Council’s Compliments and Complaints Procedure to support customer feedback.

Working collaboratively with Technical Manager, Technicians, Operations Managers & General Manager to ensure smooth running of events/shows.

Act as DPS as and when required.
