Our refurbishment business in Nottingham is looking for skilled Carpenters to join our valued direct trade workforce, offering stability in a permanent role. The work with involve passive fire protection works for which full training will be provided with the opportunity to work towards a 3rd party accreditation to formally recognise these specialist skills.

You will work on contracts/projects based within Nottingham, Leicester and Derby therefore we are looking for someone who is flexible to travel within these areas.

Please note you would not be expected to travel between these locations daily, the work is planned and based in one location for a set period.

The Carpenter Role
  • Planned maintenance and second fix carpentry work primarily within residential properties, and on occasion public, educational and commercial settings too.
  • Completion of Kitchen and Bathroom installations and passive fire protection works including installation of fire door/door set replacements, fire stopping to service penetrations and remedial works.
  • The tasks will include but are not limited to, full kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, rehanging, or replacing doors/fire doors/door sets and fitting intumescent fire strips, door closers and general blocking up of voids with fireproof material
What will you bring as a Carpenter?
  • Qualified to an NVQ 2 level in Carpentry, or similar professional body
  • Passive fire protection and fire door experience is desirable, but not essential as we will provide you with full training to become 3rd party accredited
  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Possession of a full current UK Driving licence with access to your own vehicle, which is essential to undertake the Carpenter role.
