Company Description

Here at Home Instead we provide support to ageing adults across South East Northumberland, to help them live independently in their own homes. We support with anything from companionship, food shopping, collecting prescriptions, administering medication, food preparation and supporting with personal care. At Home Instead, all visits are a minimum of one hour! We also believe in continuity, meaning you will see the same clients, building up a strong rapport with them.

Job Description

We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients to join our team inAshington and the surrounding areasas a CAREGiver. As a CAREGiver, you will provide a variety of non-medical services to help them keep independent in their own home.

You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a CAREGiver. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience. You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and comfortable in spending time in the company of others.

Qualifications

All you need is:
  • A full driving license and access to a vehicle; our clients often like to get out and about during their visits!
  • Availability to work every other weekend
  • A desire to provide exceptional care to our clients
  • Aged 18 or over
  • A good level of spoken and written English

As a CAREGiver, you will receive industry leading training, great rates of pay and excellent support. We also pay mileage, travel and waiting time.
