What will you be doing?

We’re looking for a Café Manager to head up our Insomnia Café team.

This fantastic role offers you the opportunity to manage the daily running of the café, leading your team of Baristas and Team Leaders and keeping the café well merchandised and beautifully clean and organised, as well as monitoring productivity and performance.

Your thirst to deliver the best service and experience to our customers, through your engagement with the local community, will shine through at every possible opportunity.

Role modelling the expected standards set, to your Team Leaders and Barista’s, you’ll make sure both colleagues and customers experience a lively, happy and welcoming café environment.

Keeping you colleagues, customers and yourself safe and at the heart of everything you do, you’ll make sure that the café is run with health and safety as a priority.

Through your enthusiasm to deliver great service and a successful cafe, you’ll actively drive productivity and cost-effectiveness. You’ll work with your colleague’s on flexibility and availability to make sure working hours are fully staffed and be responsible for cash control and security procedures.

You’ll build a whole host of great working relationships with customers and colleagues as well as the Business Support Centre Teams. Working closely as part of the management team, we’ll encourage you to share your thoughts and ideas of ways to improve customer experiences.

How will I know if I am right for this role?

We’re looking for people that have a positive and enthusiastic attitude to become members of our fantastic team. If you pride yourself on delivering great service and maintaining high standards, you’ll fit seamlessly into this role.
You’ll need to be focused on delivery and commercial success, as well as both personal and team development.
Having previous leadership experience in a customer facing role is a must for this role and whilst it’s would be an advantage to you that you hold an NVQ/Apprenticeship in Leadership it’s not a requirement.
Duty Manager skills are essential, as is good mentoring and being able to work well with others. Team development experience would be desirable.
