Here at ParkerSteel we have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated CAD Drafter / Production Plannerto join our busy Technical Department at our Canterbury Site.You will be working on a full time, permanent basis, 45 hours per week Monday to Fridayand in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £25,000 to £36,500 dependent on skills and experience.Hours of Work:You will be required to work a 2-week shift pattern of the following Early / Late starts (45 Hrs per Week)Week 1 - 7:00am – 16:30pm (half hour unpaid break for lunch)Week 2 – 09:30am – 19:00pm (half hour unpaid break for lunch)The CompanyParkerSteel Limited are a processor and distributor of multi metal and engineering tool products to UK industry. Responsible for producing Details 2D and / or 3D Drawings for production team, programming of orders using CAD/CAM software to our Production machines in line with AS400 schedule, ensuring maximum utilisation of materials to set targets, when planning to production machines. Providing Technical Support to our Sales team. Contact customers to resolve problems with drawings and production issues.The PersonThe role will suit a team worker who is keen to learn and committed within this fast-paced workplace. Experience producing 2D and 3D CAD drawings (with a relevant qualification will be an advantage), you must have the ability to produce informative and clear production drawings including all technical information, you will need to be focused and diligent, with good communication and listening skills.As a minimum experience in AutoCAD is a requirement, Relevant experience in Solidworks, Trumpf, SigmaNest and Steel Projects PLM software will be an advantage, however training will be given.Benefits include:
