CAD Designer required for well respected company based in Wolverhampton.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience within technical, design and manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities of the role
  • Help to design, develop and improve product offering. The role is involves working to bridge the departments of, design, technical and marketing.
  • Create accurate 3D CAD models of new and developing product ranges
  • Provide accurate, detailed and to scale drawings for internal use and for customer presentation. Drawings that are compliant with relevant industry protocols and standards
  • Organise, amend and maintain the design directories for the company CAD
  • Work with our marketing to help present CAD designs for literature and digital presentation
  • Work on engineering solutions to improve manufacturing, incorporating these solutions with CAD to illustrate and test ideas
  • Liaising with other companies who provide marketing and design support

  • Key Knowledge, Skills and Experience that would be well received
  • Microsoft Office
  • Strong CAD skills predominantly using SolidWorks
  • Knowledge of best practice when using 2D and 3D CAD for design and manufacture
  • Some Adobe knowledge would be welcomed
  • Image manipulation where required in Photoshop
  • Familiarity of presentation rendering
  • Some knowledge of best design practices for manufacture and fabrication. Some engineering nous would help in the role

  • Hours
    39 hours per week full time
    8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday
    8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday
    Applicants should have flexible approach to working hours on occasion.
