Buyer - Bransford, WR6 Permanent, Full time position40 hours a week, early finish on a Friday! Are you experienced in purchasing mechanical and electrical assemblies, parts and components? Can you read and understand engineering drawings? Have you purchased electrical components and assemblies from suppliers? If your answer is “yes” this might just be the role for you… We are looking for a Buyer to join our client’s procurement department in Bransford, Powick. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a forward-thinking company, who provide services to globally renowned automotive organisations, in a unique countryside location very close to Worcester. What will the Buyer do? Buy mechanical + electrical assemblies/components, be responsible for stock control/supply Prepare and/or review purchase requisitions/orders as required Source price quotations and process purchase orders Communicate with suppliers to purchase goods, schedule deliveries & resolve discrepancies Project materials coordination and distribution Compilation and processing of Bill of Materials What are we looking for? Technical knowledge is key - you must be able to read and understand complex mechanical and electrical drawings. Demonstrable experience of buying electrical components/assemblies Used to using MS Office, particularly Excel. ERP system experience would be an advantage A proven ability to negotiate, manage supply chain and customer relationships Self-starter who can work as part of a team, who’s methodical and enjoys identifying and solving problems, with the ability to work under pressure to meet targets and deadlines Knowledge of machining, welding, and fabrication This role will involve a small amount of UK and overseas travel For further information on this excellent opportunity, please call Gayle on our office number.
