Summer 2023

International Summer School for Teens operates exclusive educational programmes for young people looking to enhance their learning through adventure and travel.

Experienced and motivated member of staff required to teach our Business Leadership and Innovation class. The position is well suited to a business studies teacher or business professional who has experience working with young people.

The course is structured in the style of a “Dragon’s Den” scenario where students will develop a business idea and learn about advertising, business plans, competitive advantages, customer demographics, entrepreneurial spirit, ethical issues, financing, networking, marketing, product development, future career goals and social responsibility. Students should also be encouraged to hone their leadership skills as they create and innovate through both independent and group work scenarios. Applicants should be able to demonstrate their experience in the above and display a passion for working with young people.

This class challenges students to think creatively and to express their ideas through a variety of mediums. Enthusiasm and flexibility are essential to the role. We are keen to work with people who are passionate about their field and can present lessons through a variety of fun and diverse classes. The successful candidate may be asked on occasion to assist with non-classroom activities which may include working with other staff or meeting parents. As such, a professional, team-player mindset is essential. As part of their remit, all teachers will write a final report about each of their students.

We want your summer experience with us to be as enriching for you as it is for our students. If you would be interested in working with us this summer please send a cv and a member of our recruitment team will get back to you to discuss further.

All staff must participate in a mandatory training session which will be scheduled prior to the start of summer school. Applicants must have reliable means of transportation to get to campus on a timely basis. Please be advised that as part of our interview process, we will request contact details for 2 references. All gaps in CVs must be explained satisfactorily. Applicants will also have to provide ID and hold - or be willing to obtain - a current PVG / Enhanced Disclosure / CRB. Salary is pro rata and dependent on experience and location.
