The Meggitt Business Graduate Programme is an accelerated development programme for those graduating from University. Within our Programme, you can launch your career in Finance and Accounting Or Corporate Affairs or in IT; gaining valuable insight into other areas of our business to extend your commercial acumen. You’ll be able to utilise your existing experience as well as pick up new skills as you rotate around Meggitt for your four nine-month placements.

In order to fast-track your development, you’ll be assigned a senior leader to mentor you throughout the programme, as well as a professional development mentor who will support your progression in your chosen field.

Depending on your ambitions and degree discipline, we have the following graduate schemes available to commence on 06 September 2021.

Role Summary

Meggitt’s IT Group are currently embarking on a large-scale transformation of its IT services, platforms and infrastructure and this is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to experience various technical disciplines during a period of significant change. There is a large investment in Meggitt’s IT and you will be part of a global IT function of circa 160 employees.

We will accept applications from graduates including, but not limited to the following degree disciplines (minimum 2:1):

  • Information Technology / Computer Sciences
  • Business Information
  • Computer Networks
  • Computing
  • Cyber Security

About The Programme

The three-year programme consists of four nine-month placements:

  • Each placement will focus on business critical elements, within the respective business areas, that add measurable impact and value to our organization, they will include cross-discipline project work and varied placements across our divisions to give you a breadth of experience and opportunities to engage with a wide network.
  • Dependent on your chosen discipline, you will have an opportunity to work in another function within our business, this may be one of the alternative functions listed above, but may also extend to others such as Procurement, Investor Relations and Trade Compliance to stretch you and provide you with a rounded skillset.
  • You’ll receive technical and commercial training throughout the programme, as well as enhanced professional and personal development.
  • You’ll receive mentorship from 2 of the most experienced leaders in Meggitt.
  • Together with your placement managers, you will set clear goals at the start of each placement and receive appraisals at the end to aid your progress and development.#LI-SJ1

What do I need to Apply?

In order to be successful, you will be:

  • A quick learner who is embraces change.
  • Able to communicate, collaborate and build trusted relationships with people at all levels, both within and outside of Meggitt.
  • Resilient, resourceful, socially mobile and willing to travel, not afraid to establish new networks and step outside of your comfort zone.

You will have:

  • Work experience in relevant fields and be able to demonstrate a commitment to your own growth and development
