Job Summary

To support new business through the full end to end proposal process, from initial interest and activities around pursuit of an opportunity through to final proposal documentation submission. Providing support to all affiliated functions (Sales, Commercial and Engineering) to assist the quality and timely completion of proposal submissions – including organising meetings, writing proposal content, coordinating relevant activities, document management and ensuring Compliance activities meet business needs. Alongside your work, you’ll study for the Bid & Proposal Co-ordinator Apprenticeship at a Level 3, which is expected to last around 2 years. Core Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow the front end bid processes for OE and Services from RFI through bidding, revision, interpretation and completion, recognising where and how to optimise risk/reward balance
  • Compile and coordinate responses to RFIs/RFQs using appropriate templates and procedures, including obtaining necessary internal reviews, approvals and signatures are completed within relevant time limits
  • Maintain the CRM system with scheduling, technical and commercial information relating to opportunities and contracts.
  • Support the Bid Manager in the review of technical specifications received as part of Customer RFQs, and the coordination of internal reviews by the relevant business functions
  • Supports the dissemination of agreements and contract close-down/exit activities
  • Support all Trade Compliance activities ensuring they meet business needs

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Five GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above including English and Maths
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service orientation, building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
  • Must be self-motivated with a high level of initiative
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office applications
