We have new opportunity for a Business Development Manager to assume responsibility for driving net new sales across Iron Mountain’s Records & Information Management and Digital Solutions portfolio to predominantly new prospect customers within Local Government, Education and Healthcare organisations.

What you will do

As the Business Development Manager, you will have responsibility for Public Sector, market, competitor and trend knowledge. The Business Development Manager will primarily focus on selling net new revenue into an assigned prospect list (cross selling new solutions to new customers, new locations and up-selling) through prospecting, networking (internally and leveraging sales channel) to increase revenue, growth and quota attainment.

As the Business Development Manager, you should be skilled in understanding and uncovering business needs within Local Government, Education and Healthcare clients as well as via a methodical consultative-based selling approach.

You will work with the Pre-Sales Solution Architect team as well as with the wider Iron Mountain functional teams to identify, manage and close large complex opportunities within the Local Government, Education and Healthcare vertical segments.

What you will bring

You will have significant proven success of direct sales experience, selling specified integrated solutions. This can be from a variety of industries providing you can transfer these skills to sell our document management, workflow, business process and/or imaging services.

In addition to this you will have the following attributes:

  • Proven ability to translate Local Government, Education and Healthcare customer needs into solution requirements through creating powerful value propositions and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to influence and negotiate through proven sales skills and needs identification by aligning unique insights to key customer priorities.
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills and in-depth understanding of strategic selling methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, analytical skills and business acumen for effective decision making.
  • The ability to make business decisions and think in broad terms, considering the impact to the entire company.
  • The ability to influence without authority and team effectively at all levels of Iron Mountain and customer personnel (to include c-level) on a wide range of topics and issues.
