The Role: Business Development Manager

Location: London/ Home Counties (Home Based)

Salary £55K plus £25K bonus and Car /Car Allowance,

My client is the global leading life sciences, laboratory and equipment manufacturer serving science and supporting their customers to accelerate ground-breaking & lifesaving research across the Biotech/ Laboratory Research, Academia and Pharmaceutical sectors.

As the Life Science Sales Specialist, you will already have 3+ years’ experience of successfully selling Scientific/Laboratory capital equipment such as RO/DI Water Purification, Biological Safety Cabinets, CO2 Incubators, Autoclaves, Centrifuges or similar (Laboratory consumables sales experience will also be considered)

The Role:

Be capable of managing a wide range of activities including prospecting for brand new customers and portfolio development at existing customers where opportunity is evident.

This region is active for both emerging and well established Life Science companies, so a strong market presence is essential.

Take ownership of existing accounts and new business opportunities within Academia, Pharma, Biotech and Clinical businesses across a highly lucrative and successful territory

In this role you will have excellent earning potential which is very achievable and possible to exceed and earn even more if you are a high performer

The Person:

  • prior experience of selling capital equipment products with a consultative sales approach. Examples including, Life Science or medical equipment, analytical equipment.
  • candidates with a science-based education and relevant experience of business development/ sales or account management within a sizable business.
  • of strong new business achievement versus targets involving direct contact with prospects and excellent pipeline management.
  • team skills and capability of successfully developing win/win situations with peers.
  • interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers on the technical benefits of the products being sold.
