We are currently looking to recruit experienced Business Development Managers for a prestigious client working in Newcastle under Lyme. Our client is an established telecommunications, they are currently expanding their team to include a new Business Development Manager. You will be focused on targeting SME and Corporate business who have a requirement for fixed and mobile Telecoms services and new VOIP and IT Services backed up with excellent customer services. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your portfollie and skills, attractive salary plus realistic OTE of £50,000 plus. As Business Development Manager you will create growth through building relationships with specific accounts or opportunities, incremental to the current portfolio. Main Purpose of the Role The ability to self-generate leads, book own appointments and driving own sales and creating new business opportunities is paramount. Key Responsibilities
  • Achieving a monthly sales target
  • Making appointments, self-generated by cold-calling businesses.
  • Keen to win new business and build long term relationships.
  • Enthusiastic with a genuine interest in B2B Telecommunications products and services
  • Proactive in generating your own leads / new business – using a combination of outbound activities (cold calls, direct emails, LinkedIn messaging etc)
  • Able to manage their own leads as well as those supplied internally and from external marketing activity.
  • Motivated by finding new opportunities and seeing them through to fruition.
  • Being creative and developing solutions for customers that are both advantageous to them and profitable for both parties.

  • Strong experience working in a field sales New Business Development role within a telecommunications/data company, preferably in a commercial fast-paced environment.
  • A proven track record from other industries considered.
  • Experienced in Data Connectivity/ IT/lines / Physical Networks services an advantage. Skills/Knowledge/Understanding
  • Strong sales and negotiation techniques.
  • Excellent customer service approach.
  • Excellent listening skills and clear concise verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to self-generate opportunities.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy. You will be:

  • Demonstrates tact and diplomacy.
  • Calm, confident manner able to work effectively under pressure, and keep to deadlines.
  • Previous sales experience/knowledge of telecommunications sector.
