Are you a driven Business Development Manager with a background in renewable energy that wants to excel in a dynamic and exciting industry for a market-leading company?

Fugro is now seeking a Business Development Manager to join the Marine Infrastructure Solutions team based in Falmouth, Cornwall.

As part of this rewarding role, the Business Development Manager will be at the forefront of the work-winning team, building key relationships, understanding the client needs and offering world-leading drilling solutions as part of MIS core offering, you will also be required to review and understand a potential client’s ITT/RFQ’s in order to support the tender team in the preparation of a proposal and price for submission in line with the client’s timeframe requirements.

You as our successful Business Development Manager will play a major role in supporting the business in securing projects with a focus on the renewable energy sector to help deliver our path for profitable growth. You will also need to assist the proposal team with the preparation of proposal handover packages to facilitate meeting with the project delivery team and engage with a network of known and new clients throughout the proposal process.

Who You’ll Be Working With

As part of the Marine Infrastructure Solutions team, you will have the opportunity to work with the Marine Site Characterisation and MIS management team, MIS Proposal, Commercial and Sales Teams. You will also work with our project managers and engineering team to ensure the needs of clients and Fugro’s objectives are consistently met.

Externally you will work closely with new and existing clients and strategic partners

Here’s What a Typical Day Would Be Like
  • Acting as a point of contact for Marine Infrastructure Proposals within and outside the Fugro group
  • Supporting Proposal Managers and Engineers with the proposal process – including all technical, commercial, and contractual aspects (Supported by team members)
  • Identifying and winning business opportunities
  • Interaction with clients to propose innovative solutions
  • Delivering sales, revenue, and profit targets
  • Agreeing and delivering proposal strategies with Management and ensuring sufficient resources are available to execute the plan by delivering high-quality, innovative added-value proposals
  • Reviewing commercial, technical, and operational bids
  • Forming business strategies and producing detailed concise proposals based on conditions of contract

Essential

Who we’re looking for
  • Background in /Renewable Energy
  • An understanding of Civil Engineering applications
  • Preferable has a proven track record in the offshore renewable energy industry
  • Highly motivated and self-driven
  • Excellent time management to achieve internal and external deadlines
  • Articulate with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Astute commercial awareness
  • Adept at problem-solving and resourceful
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project
  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable
  • Degree/HND qualified or Equivalent
  • Proven track record in sales and building client relationships across the globe.
  • Experience of working with international teams and an understanding of a variety of forms of conditions of contract would be a benefit.
