Be part of the team that keeps Scotland safe!

Everyone at Scottish Fire & Rescue Service plays a key role in protecting Scottish communities and saving lives – and you could contribute to our vital work.

As the fourth largest fire and rescue service in the world, our remit is wide-reaching and extends far beyond preventing and controlling fires. Our day-to-day duties often include responding to road traffic collisions, dealing with hazardous materials, providing rope and water rescue services and attending to floods. Working alongside our partner agencies, we are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the people of Scotland.

But you don’t have to be out on the streets in a uniform to make a difference. As well as front-line Service Delivery roles, our opportunities span into functions such as People and Organisational Development; Training, Safety and Assurance; Finance and Procurement; and, of course, Information and Communications Technology. Every single person at SFRS is important, and together we are making Scotland a safer country.

In this role you will plan for and execute on a full range of business analyst activities for various projects and will work with project and business management to ensure technical and business objectives are achieved. You will be responsible for the design and development of business solutions for the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service and will liaise with business units to capture, catalogue and prioritise user requirements.

We are looking for an individual with a HND in an ICT-related discipline (or equivalent experience), to undertake the full range of business analysis activities across SFRS. You will be analytical and a great problem solver, skilled at using a variety of analysis tools including process/data modelling, use cases, case tools, data flow diagrams.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is an Equal Opportunities employer and encourages applications from all sectors of the community. In addition, we are committed to being a “Disability Confident Employer” and will ensure that all applicants who meet the essential criteria for the role are invited for interview.
