Full time (5 days a week), Fixed Term to March 2023
Based at 100 Temple Street, Bristol and working from home

Bristol City Council has been successful in attaining funding through the Clean Air Zone to help people switch to compliant vehicles and encourage sustainable modes of travel. An opportunity has therefore arisen within the Engagement and Active Travel Team to help businesses and local communities to increase active travel levels.

The purpose of this role is to promote the benefits of sustainable travel modes to the business and employment community. The person will build up a rapport with key stakeholders spreading the message of sustainable travel and advocating the associated health benefits whilst helping to increase the number of compliant vehicles that may enter the Clean Air Zone.

You would need to demonstrate experience of behaviour change projects, be motivated and enthusiastic, educated to degree level or equivalent and have experience in partnership working.

You must have excellent written and verbal communications, the ability to motivate and enthuse others, be able to develop and maintain external relationships and use your organisational skills to plan and prioritise your own workload.
