Job Description

Job Title: Bulk Laboratory Analyst

Job Type:Permanent

Hours: 40 per week

Job Location:Middlesbrough

Remuneration: £20,000 per annum

As a Bulk Laboratory Analyst, you’ll be responsible for analysing samples whilst providing additional project management support to the Operations Manager.

Key Accountabilities;
  • Accurate interpretation of job card instructions including any scope of works or contract review; subsequent accurate identification of asbestos fibres including clear recording of same.
  • Timely processing of samples and production of final report as per the recognised “points” system.
  • To assign 3 hours per day to Project Support duties which will be delegated by the Operations Manager.
  • To work to the company’s established quality, safety and environmental procedures strictly at all times.
  • To cooperate with the QC department including completion of the required audit schedule.
  • To actively enhance professional development by attending monthly toolbox talks and any other training sessions.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you’ll need experience in asbestos bulk laboratory with a comprehensive knowledge of asbestos analytical PLM techniques.

In addition to the above you’ll also need to demonstrate the following;
  • P401 Certificate
  • Understanding of the risks associated with ACMs.
  • Inquisitive and diligent nature, appreciation of the importance of the job and understanding of the QC system requirements.
  • Basic IT skills.
The following attributes would be desirable, but not essential;
  • Experience in conducting other related asbestos work such as fibre counting.
  • QHSE experience.
