Job Description Summary As the Brockworth Operations leader you are responsible and accountable for leading all manufacturing operations (OE, R&O and Shared areas) at Brockworth and Propeller Repair Facilities (India, Italy, Canada and UK). In this role, you will be responsible to lead large teams to achieve the sites goals for safety, quality, delivery and cost. You will be expected to resolve complex issues and lead cross functional teams to achieve significant results in required time scales.

You will own/influence budgets and operating plans within operating policy. The role requires high levels of evaluative judgment and operational acumen to achieve outcomes. You will need to be able to lead a lean transformation across all levels of the organization to delivery tangible results through daily management into Operating Reviews and innovative breakthroughs into Hoshin Kanri activities.Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the operation in order to reach defined targets in safety, quality, delivery and cost.
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services. Activate and execute both short- and long-term plans to increase On Time Delivery and production effectiveness for in-house manufactured parts.
  • Lead others to find creative solutions within complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Provide leadership to a team including Team Leaders and hourly colleagues with the aim of achieving operational goals.
  • Lead change and cultural transformation through implementation of Lean, support business level Lean deployment. Ensure continuous improvement according to benchmarks and standards.
  • Communicates complex messages and negotiate internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influence peers to take action and negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.
  • Establish and sustain a culture that promotes a positive work environment.
  • Manage customer and business metrics reporting requirements.
  • Drive productivity on the shop floor
  • Coordination with cross functional teams across multiple areas for planning, execution and documentation to meet the customer needs.
  • Lead S&OP supply activities and interface with Engineering, Fulfilment and the Sourcing team to ensure customer expectations are met

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience and proven results in Manufacturing & Operations Management
  • Significant experience and proven results in Lean manufacturing and culture change
  • Sense of urgency in dealing with issues and tasks
  • Leadership skills and ability to lead across the organization.
  • Ability to influence others and lead teams
  • Ability to organize, assess, prioritize tasks, risks, resources, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Strong Presentation skills, oral and written communication
