The Pioneer Group own and manage 2,500 social and market rent homes in north and east Birmingham, and our head office is in Castle Vale. This is why we invest in a range of charitable activities. These include our charitable organisation Compass Support which has developed expertise in community capacity building; youth and family support; employment support; health and wellbeing activities; and support for the elderly.We currently have vacancies on two of our member Boards.Make your application after reading the following skill and qualification requirements for this position.
  • As a Pioneer Group Board Member, you will demonstrate your understanding of our fundamental principles whilst providing strategic oversight.
  • As a Compass Support Board Member, you will demonstrate an understanding of what is needed to support people and communities to thrive.
All Board members must be able to demonstrate our values and support our mission.The Boards seek to be diverse and representative of the communities they serve. The Group has a learning and development programme in place to support all Board Members to develop their skills and support good governance practice across the Group.We Would Particularly Welcome Candidates With Experience In
  • Asset management, IT and/or data management
  • Community engagement and/or safeguarding
  • Lived experience of our communities or services
