Purpose

To establish and deliver Bill of Materials and Event BoM data and guidance on best practice to deliver functionality and capability to the Technical Office. Ownership of configuration to drive digital mock-up data, creating and maintaining a digital twin of the physical products. .

Responsibilities

• Definition, Management & maintenance of Bill of Materials structure & associated data across AMGP programmes
• Annual Definition of Skeleton BoM Structure, taking previous year as start point
• Co-definition & developer of Company PLM systems
• Drive the development & use of BoM/BoI throughout the Company
• Owner of ‘Configuration Management’ – creating and maintaining BoM configuration data
• Develop company use of effectivity and variant conditions
• Bill of Information (BoI) – Define with users, guide Best Practice approach
• Provision for and implement strategy for multiple programme design and release
• Policing of Design Release standards
• Definition & maintenance of Proprietary Parts Catalogue (within the Engineering Function)
• Workflow definition & implementation
• Assist with communication of remedial actions (revision control)
• Recruitment of new roles within department to meet organisational structure requirements
