About The RoleBBUK02956 Project Engineer - Asset & Technology Solutions (formerly Plant & Fleet) Old Oak Common, NW LondonBalfour Beatty Asset & Technology solutions has a terrific opportunity for an Electrical biased Project Engineer to join their ever-growing temporary site services team at Old Oak Common Station.Old Oak Common is the biggest station construction in Europe for 100 years, this is an opportunity to demonstrate our performance capability, as well as our sustainability and innovation potential on a large-scale government funded programme.Upon completion, the new station will boast six underground platforms and up to eight platforms on the adjacent Great Western Main Line. Old Oak Common will also provide high speed rail services to the Midlands, central London, Scotland and the North, as well as direct services to three major airports. Incorporating passenger and retail facilities, the new station will provide an exceptional customer experience for both passengers and visitors to the station.Construction of the iconic station will support up to 65,000 jobs and 25,000 homes in the local area, helping kick-start one of Britains largest regeneration projects and transforming the former railway and industrial area. A new public park will also be situated to the west of the station, which will act as a green space that welcomes visitors to Old Oak Common and provide a new focal point for the growing community. At peak of construction, the project will employ a direct management team of 140 and a wider workforce of approximately 2,500.What you’ll be doingAs an Electrical biased Project Engineer, you will support the Project Manager in the delivery of the site temporary services projects, covering the following: -
  • Support Functions to deliver your project(s) and enhance solid working relationships as one team across the business
  • Planning, controlling and managing the delivery of project(s) utilising the necessary resource and skills
  • Prepare Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Task briefings to ensure a Safe System of Work
  • Ensure that all works are carried out in line with CDM and Temporary Works regulations
  • Support of the tender process
  • Day to day management of client expectations whilst promoting the value we bring.
AAWho we’re looking forYou Will Have The Following
  • Mechanical/electrical background
  • Electrical Inspection and Testing qualified
  • Commercial awareness with knowledge of both budgetary and financial control
  • Ability to work across conflicting interest groups, with the aim to develop solutions to complex operational and commercial problems
