Are you a Registered Nurse looking for additional hours?

Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can work 1:1 with a service user in their own home?

Apollo Home Healthcare has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and committed Bank Nurse to join our team in Sleaford.

Our service user is an adult female who requires care on a 24/7 basis, which is broken down into 12-hour day and 12-hour night shifts.

She enjoys a variety of activities such as messy play, bubbles, sensory toys, watching her favourite films and going for walks to the local park.

She likes being outdoors and accessing community-based activities such as going out for lunch, going swimming, and participating in events at the local community hub.

Our service user has limited communication and displays challenging behaviors so it is important that you are able to communicate clearly, at a level she can understand and interpret.

She must be involved in all aspects of her care and offered choice where possible however, you will also support her to make decisions and on occasions, advocate on her behalf.

You must be available and willing to cover shifts at short notice, such as absence and planned holiday cover.

Please note, drivers are required for day shifts and you must be comfortable driving a large adapted vehicle.

Essential Requirements
  • Valid NMC Pin
  • Adult’s or Children’s Nurse
  • Hands on clinical care
  • UK Driving Licence (Days)
Due to the requirements of our service user, our ideal applicant will also be skilled in the following;
  • Gastrostomy Care (PEG Feeding)
  • Epilepsy Care
  • Seizure Management
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Challenging Behaviours
