Duties of a Kitchen Assistant are varied, and no two days will be the same. All our residents are individuals, and they deserve to be treated as such especially when it comes to their menu choices throughout the day.
  • Support the Chef with food preparation and storage
  • Clean and restock items
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Carry out all duties in a safe manner having regard to the Health and Safety of yourself, colleagues, residents and visitors to the Home
What We Are Looking For In Our Kitchen Assistant

Ideally, we would prefer someone to have experience working in a kitchen, alongside or working towards a level 2 catering qualification or equivalent, but we know people from other walks of life can become exceptional kitchen assistants with the right training. If you don’t have the necessary qualifications or direct experience, we would be happy to work with you to develop you further to excel in your role.
