Mariposa Care Grouphas an exciting opportunity available for aAssitant Chefto join their team based at Blackwell in Carlisle. You will join us on a part time, permanent basis and in return we will offer you a competitive salary of £9.34 per hour.

We’re a residential and nursing care service and we provide a range of care and support services for residents. Our main priority for the Chef role is to find people with the right values, behaviours and attitudes.

What will you be doing as our Assistant Chef?
  • Duties of a Chef are varied, and no two days will be the same in the home’s busy kitchen
  • As a general guide you will prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals, providing special dietary requirements where necessary for residents
  • Planning and costing menus in order to provide a balanced nutritious diet, making the best use of available fresh foods
  • Maintaining accurate records and the correct ordering of food supplies and checking of deliveries
  • Ensuring all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately and kitchen, dining areas, including equipment, are cleaned to statutory Health and Safety standards.

We’re seeking to recruit a creative Chef who has the required knowledge and experience, along with the appropriate level 2/3 catering qualifications, or are working towards them, but also have the right values and behaviours to work in our residential care service - could this be you?
