Supporting in the region of 25000 + service users, the UHB IT Technical Support Team provides support for all internal and external IT Incidents, requests and enquiries.

We are currently seeking to fill vacancies for 3 x Junior IT Support Officer within our busy, high performance team, based at the QEHB site. The primary focus of the role will be providing high quality, responsive, customer focused, 1st and 2nd line IT Service and Support to Trust users and stakeholders.

When required, the post holder will carry out installation and replacement of desktops to support the lease replacement and will floor walk in clinical areas to provide front line assistance and maintenance of clinical IT hardware

Successful candidates will need to demonstrate all-round Technical Support and Service Desk knowledge and experience. You will be a keen team player with a conscientious, outgoing personality and ability to communicate well at all levels. Equally important will be evidence of commitment, drive and enthusiasm to delivering high levels of customer satisfaction within a “Service Excellence” driven culture.


All posts involving access to persons in receipt of health services will be subject to a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us; this will depend on the nature of the position and the circumstances of your offences.

Staff recruited from outside of the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

Successful candidates will be automatically enrolled onto the Trust staff bank UHB+.
