An opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the payroll team has arisen. As payroll support officer to the team, you will be responsible for the day to day clerical duties associated with providing an excellent payroll service.

The payroll system used is a dedicated NHS system; Electronic Staff Record (ESR) which is an Oracle based system, which would make any experience of Oracle use a distinct advantage.

We are looking for an organised and efficient person, who is able to work to strict deadlines. You will be able to organise and prioritise your workload to ensure all the work is completed in conjunction with the deadlines. You should have a pleasant telephone manner and be able to deal with difficult calls if necessary.

You should be able to confidently use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (Email).

All posts involving access to persons in receipt of health services will be subject to a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us; this will depend on the nature of the position and the circumstances of your offences.

Staff recruited from outside of the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

Successful candidates will be automatically enrolled onto the Trust staff bank UHB+.
