An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a motivated individual to work with a Personality Disordered Focussed ward at Tamarind CentreThe post is within the Tamarind Centre, supporting service users at different stages in their journey in secure care services. This will include providing therapeutic activities on a daily basis. We are looking for those who are innovative and can think outside the box when it comes to working with service users who can present with complex needs and behaviours that can be challenging.
Post holders will contribute to the provision of daily activities particularly out of usual working hours in the afternoons and at weekends, for people admitted to Tamarind Centre. Activities will be a mixture of ward based, within the hospital facilities and in community settings targeting hard to reach individuals, those who are acutely mentally unwell and those with physical ill health and disabilities.
To provide a range of social/recreational/leisure activities for individual and groups of service users who experience mental health difficulties
To contribute to data collection
To work predominately in the afternoons and at weekends (37.5 hours per week) on a shift basis across 7 days, including rostered weekends and bank holidays.
