We have a fantastic opportunity for an Automation Engineer to join us as an Automation Hotline Agent.

This position can be based anywhere in Europe!

As part of Pall’s Equipment Support Hotline team, you’ll provide automation technical support via phone to external customers and/or e-mail support to internal OpCo functions (engineers, technicians, and product support personnel) by triaging, diagnosing, and problem-solving in real-time computer system issues, complex software, network and wireless systems over the phone.

Responsibilities Include

:
  • Develop expert level knowledge of existing systems from an automation and software perspective and acquire applications and hardware knowledge to aid in problem diagnosis and resolution over the phone.
  • Develop as overall system subject-matter-expert (SME) on Pall Biotech systems with strong emphasis on automation, network and software support.
  • Work with PLC and HMI programming (e.g. Siemens, Rockwell, Wonderware systems platform).
  • Support customer technical system issues.
  • Support common communication protocols (OPC-UA, Modbus).
  • Collaborate with Global Product Support service instructors who develop, maintain, and implement Automation technical skills-standards for use in training classes.
  • Use lessons learned from hotline data to support training opportunities, process, and product improvements.
  • Provide meaningful coaching, guidance, feedback, and mentorship to other agents!
  • Partner with training team to develop other associates subject-matter-expertise in automation, networking, and software related support.

Education & Proficiencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering or Computer Science; Or equivalent years of experience (with experience in a similar role).
  • Excellent Automation-related troubleshooting and Problem-Solving skills.
  • Proven track record of good interpersonal skills.
