Lucentio House is a Supported Living Plus and Outreach Service located in the beautiful English Riviera of Torquay, Devon. The service provides individualised and proactive support to enable individuals to become as independent as possible within the community.

The service supports young people and adults (17-65 year olds) with the following needs:

  • Learning Disabilities
  • Autism
  • Behaviour which may be described as challenging

Lucentio House comprises of 12 flats across two buildings and a shared living room. Each individual also has access to the large garden and striking views of the sea. Each flat is spacious and set across the ground and first floors to meet a variety of individual needs and preferences.

Role: Permanent Contract 37.5 hours per week DAY OR NIGHTS AVAILABLE

Working hours:5 days out of any 7 in a week. Working a mixture of early & late shifts totalling 37.5 hours per week. Overtime is available most weeks.

Additional Information: You need to be 18 years of age to apply for one of our posts. You do not need any experience as full training will be given. Over 70% of our managers started as a support worker.

The day-to-day duties:

No two days are ever the same at Precious Homes but every day is rewarding and fun for our support workers. You will be working in a fantastic environment with the best facilities and as part of a highly skilled fun team delivering high quality person centred care. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Providing outstanding personal care
  • Supporting residents to develop independence and life skills
  • Assisting people to achieve daily goals
  • Assisting with the development of person centred plans for our residents
  • Supporting people in undertaking daily activities or development in their own apartment and in the community.
  • Daily activities such as arts, crafts and various activities
  • This includes employment, education and other opportunities.
  • Maintaining records and drawing up risk assessments

This position could suit a person who may have worked previously as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, worked in a care home in care or social care or the Healthcare sector in general.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications required:

  • Experience of working with Autistic Adults with mental health issues and/or learning difficulties
  • Clean Full driving licence
