What you’ll do:As an Associate Principal Analyst, you will engage clients every day supporting their mission critical priorities, helping them to make the right decisions for their role and business. To support these conversations you will research markets, practices and trends, and partner with peers to create actionable content for Gartner clients. You will showcase your own thought-leading research, growing your knowledge and your brand as a Gartner Expert.
  • Conduct research and analysis that aligns to client priorities in certain areas of expertise, to include Cyber Security Operations
  • Respond to client questions and deliver high quality actionable advice through a variety of media.
  • Create clear, actionable, and consumable content.
  • Predict how Cyber Security Operations are developing, help clients in their decision process and assist vendors in overall market positioning.
  • Remain ahead of the curve on developments and issues within these specified areas through peer collaboration within your team.
  • Proactively work with the wider sales and service organization and deliver outstanding client support to retain and grow the business.

  • Help us see the future & be creative. You must be a lifelong learner with foundational knowledge and experience in Cyber Security Operations.
  • Solid understanding of best practices in security operations, such as in threat detection and response (SOC, SIEM, MDR, MSSP) or exposure management (vulnerability assessment, attack surface management).
  • Understanding of and curiosity about the larger business impact of new technology and business trends on cyber security operations and how these can be navigated successfully.
  • Understanding of, or willingness to provide advice on proposals and statements of work for security operations products and services.
  • Understanding of, or willingness to analyze end-user and market trends from internal and external data sources using a variety of tools and methods.
  • 3-5 years of relevant and demonstrable experience.
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent experience.
  • Willing to occasionally travel, regionally and globally.
  • Business Acumen. Understand how an organization operates (risks and opportunities) and the drivers of a company’s performance.
  • Intellectual Agility. Critical thinker with the ability to process and understand information quickly, diagnose the issue in order to take positions and make actionable and impactful recommendations.
