What is the opportunity?

EV Cargo Logistics at Rochdale is looking to recruit a Assistant Transport Planner (ambient) to cover the Company’s network operations. The role will be based on a ‘4on, 4off’ days shift pattern, working an average of 42 hours per week. As part of this role you will be required to cover holidays and sickness at relatively short notice; therefore, flexibility in working hours is of paramount importance.

We would like to hear from you if...

You have previous experience of accurately producing transport plans.

You are competent at customer and supplier liaison and able to update and manipulate the current standard plan to reflect fluctuations in daily volumes.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Collating collection and delivery information.

Creating collection plans to inform suppliers of loading requirements.

Booking deliveries into DCs with the customer booking team.

Maintaining depot standard plan information.

Assisting with the planning and implementation of strategic depot change.

Customer/Supplier/Subcontractor management at a number of levels.

Looking for opportunities to plan collections/deliveries in the most cost effective manner.
