A new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities professional to support our Facilities Manager in the delivery of services across North Yorkshire Hospice Care’s site network. The post holder will be responsible for repairs, refurbishment and maintenance, housekeeping, health and safety management, security, grounds, and fleet management.

The successful candidate will provide line management to and be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of our experienced maintenance team. Other key responsibilities will include leading on planned maintenance and the procurement and management of third party contracted services, so good project management skills and a sound understanding of health and safety is essential.

The ideal candidate will have experience of providing practical maintenance support, and/or experience of working in a relevant practical trade. IT would also be beneficial to possess experience of driving a minibus to MIDAS standards and experience of PAT testing, although full training will he given. An excellent communicator, who can work well as a team, the post holder will have the ability to set, manage and report on costs, good attention to detail, alongside IT capability.
