Role description:

Are you passionate about Dams and Reservoirs? Would you like to play a role in shaping a UK wide team motivated by delivering interesting projects and solving complex challenges for our clients?

The Dams and Reservoir (D&R) team at Arcadis is looking for Assistant Engineers and Engineers to help us grow and improve our market share. At Arcadis we are energised by a new three-year strategy and opportunities to deliver globally. We have created a strong pipeline of work through our broad base of clients and this role will be instrumental in seeing this strategy become a reality for our people and clients.

Working in our Resilience Business Line, you will report to one of our D&R Associate Directors delivering our technical work.

As an Assistant Engineer or Engineer you will be motivated by the prospect of developing your technical capability while keeping up to speed with wider advancements within the discipline and industry best practice.

Role accountabilities:

Duties will include amongst other things:
  • Assist with the effective technical response on a range of dams and reservoir engineering design and modelling projects.
  • Work with the team to deliver projects which enhance customer experience and on to exceed expectations of time, quality and budgetary targets, supported by our wider technical team, PMs and commercial managers.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry developments and publications
  • Potential for site supervision of reservoir related work

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Experience of working within the water environment
  • Interest in developing and growing your Dams and Reservoir Technical capability
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or similar related subject
  • Demonstrable progress through a professional training scheme (ICE/CIWEM or similar) with a clear plan and ambition for attainment of CEng status.
