Marks Sattin are currently recruiting a temporary Assistant Accountant for a minimum of 3 months, with the potential to go permanent. This role is working for an FMCG business and the role is to support the Financial Controller with transactional processing.As an Assistant Accountant your role will include, but not be limited to;
  • Having complete ownership of the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger - managing invoice processing and payments, delivering agreed KPI’s and supporting colleagues where tasks delegated
  • Maintaining regular contact with customers and suppliers, dealing with issues effectively
  • Credit control - chasing overdue payments
  • Monthly stock analysis
  • Overseeing the balance sheet controls and management for designated accounts
  • Providing support to Financial Controller and Finance Director in all duties to ensure the company maintains financial records in a correct manner
What our client is looking for;
  • Experience of working within transactional accounts, including credit control
  • A good communicator, able to work well with a variety of people and get things done
  • Excellent Excel capability
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
