An innovative and award winning leader in their field, I am delighted to be assisting my client based in Billingham who is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.Responsibilities
To support the accounts team in all aspects of the monthly cycle of processing and reporting, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for
- Process sub-contractor payment and answer enquires from sub-contractors
- Generate cost reports
- Raise sales invoices
- Complete credit application forms for suppliers
- Monthly input of cost and revenue accruals
- Assist with the annual financial audit
- Bank reconciliations
- General office duties
- A good general education preferably with AAT
- Relevant accounts experience ideally with exposure to sub-contractors in the construction industry
- Proficient within Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience in a similar role
