Imperial Professionals are delighted to announce that we are working with a long established manufacturer of small components to various industries.

Due to continued company growth they looking to appoint an experienced Assembly Production Manager on a permanent basis.

Job Title: Assembly Production Manager

Salary: Up to £40k pa

Hours: 39 hours pw over 4 days

Location: Bishop Auckland

Duties Are But Not Limited To

Organisation of workflow to ensure delivery of optimal productivity and achievement of production targets Proactive implementation of key continuous improvement techniques on the assembly line including semi and full automation where applicable Calculation of staffing levels required to support production plans Active involvement in the new product introduction process, supporting the design team to ensure products are "designed for assembly" Continuously drive quality improvements and initiatives to achieve and maintain right first time and on time delivery of products Implement standard operating procedures including common fixtures and tooling etc. Identify any bottlenecks or problem areas that will affect achieving KPI’s and assembly timescales Attend production meetings and take accountability for the assembly function Responsibility for the daily management of employees, providing leadership and coordinating workloads to ensure key performance indicators (KPI’s) and quality standards are met in order to meet the requirements of the customer Development and management of a robust training plan for employees within the assembly area, identifying business risk and development opportunities to create a truly flexible team Work in a safe manner; drive positive behaviour and lead by example with regard to the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental Policies Ensure you and your team comply with all Health and Safety policy and procedures at all times Carrying out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected

To Be Considered For This You Will Have

Demonstrable experience working within assembly Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to implement continuous improvement and ensure quality standards are adhered to Experience driving improvement activity in an assembly production supervision or management role and a proven track record delivering against targets Passionate and proactive Communicating effectively at all levels within the business Computer literate Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Flexible and adaptable Conflict management
