Tradewind are recruiting for an outstanding teacher of Art and Food Technology Teacher for one of our client schools on the Wirral. This position is to start in September and will continue until the October half term initially. This position will be for 2 days per week, Tuesdays and Thursdays and you will be required to teach both Art and Food Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

The successful teacher will be joining a school who recognise the value of an enriched curriculum, broad extra-curricular activities and varied cultural experiences.

The aim of the Art and Design department is to encourage students to look at, become aware of and appreciate the world in which they live. This aim will be realised through both practical work and art appreciation. Within Food Technology, at KS3 you will be responsible for delivering Health and Safety in the Kitchen, Bacteria and Food Poisoning, Healthy Eating and Special Dietary needs.

To join us and be considered for this Art and Food Teacher position you must:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Have experience teaching Art and Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
• Hold an enhanced DBS (child workforce) on the update service, or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure
• Have a full, complete 10 year career history and be able to provide references covering the last 2 years, including your most recent employment reference
• Have the legal right to work in the UK
