Job ProfileArea Sales Engineer - Automation required. Our client is a specialist and reputable system integrator of automation solutions based near Congleton, Cheshire. They are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer with a proven record of good performance to join their team of technically minded external Sales Engineers providing solution sales to a range of industries.A background working within the Servomechanism’s, Drives, Motors, Sensors, Automation, Special Purpose Machinery, Control Systems or Complete Production Lines is essential. This position requires a highly determined individual who is able to travel to provide excellent service and make sales.Area Sales Engineer - Automation Position Overview
  • Building a portfolio of clients and managing them on a regular basis
  • Managing your own schedule to improve efficiency when it comes to travelling/sales
  • Travelling to visit clients and make sales face-to-face
  • Providing knowledge on range of products within the automation industry
  • Selling products within packaging/robotics industry Identifying and establishing new customers
  • Preparing concepts, tenders, proposals and quotations
  • Providing pre-sales and post-sales support
  • Negotiating contracts, terms and conditions
  • Meeting regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects
  • Making technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets customers’ requirements
  • Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
Area Sales Engineer - Automation Position Requirements
  • Previous experience within an Automation engineering based role (3+ Years)
  • Engineering qualification highly advantageous though experience within an engineering company will suffice
  • Previous experience working with products such as production line equipment, motors, drives, Servomechanisms and automation highly advantageous.
  • Have a Full UK driving license
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel across the M62 areas
Area Sales Engineer - Automation Position Remuneration
  • Salary £30,000 - 40,000 Dependent Upon Experience
  • Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00. Friday 08:00 - 13:00.
  • 32 Days Holiday, including 8 Bank Holidays
