Job ProfileOur client, a well-established RIBA chartered architectural practice are seeking an Architectural Technician / Technologist to join their expanding team. This opportunity is based close to St. Albans and is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Architectural Technician / Technologist to work on a variety of residential projects with project values up to £3 million.The successful Architectural Technician / Technologist will be based from our clients’ offices close to St. Albans. This company has been established for over 30 years’ so this is a great opportunity for an experienced Architectural Technician / Technologist to progress their career further. The most successful candidate should have good residential experience as our client has a large portfolio & pipeline of exciting projects ranging in size & value. As projects are predominantly in the residential sector, building regulations knowledge as well as building construction knowledge would be a huge advantage to the most successful candidate. The client that I am representing prides themselves on getting to know their clients and gaining a good understanding of the brief in order to produce high-quality, bespoke projects.This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy architectural practice with a great pipeline of small to large-scale residential projects ranging from bespoke new builds to high-end residential extensions. The successful candidate has the exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced environment at an architectural practice with a large pipeline & portfolio of exciting projects.Architectural Technician / Technologist Position Overview
  • Use of AutoCAD software to produce high-quality drawings
  • Assist with and co-ordinate planning applications
  • Liaise with Clients, Statutory authorities, design team and manufactures
  • Working drawings package
  • Site inspections
  • Take part in design team meetings
Architectural Technician / Technologist Position Requirements
  • 5 years’ experience post qualification
  • Have excellent knowledge of UK building regulations
  • Highly motivated & strong work ethic
  • Degree qualified or relevant qualification (Ba/Bsc or HND/HNC)
  • Residential experience highly advantageous
  • Proficient with the use of AutoCAD
Architectural Technician / Technologist Position Remuneration
  • Salary of £25,000 - £40,000 DOE
  • Christmas shutdown
