Job Description

The Logistics Administration Assistant will be part of technical IT team responsible for providing day to day logistics administration support to the local team as part of an ICT outsource contract to Hartlepool Borough Council.

This position involves the continual maintenance of stock and the corresponding databases, ensuring the systems accurately reflect the levels of stock in the store room and on customer sites at all times. The role will involve ordering, taking delivery of and booking goods inwards and outwards, regular cycle counting of individual components, dispatching customer orders and ensuring the general tidiness of the store and office area at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To undertake general office duties
  • Administration of purchase ordering and invoice processing
  • To accurately record all components in the database
  • To regularly reconcile physical stock within SAP
  • To identify and record problems with bills
  • Book in goods inward
  • Pack & dispatch completed orders
  • To be responsible for own health and safety and personal development, keeping up to date with relevant issues in relation to job role and to demonstrate good housekeeping.

Qualifications

  • 5 GCSEs grade 4/C or above - Preferably English and Maths
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Good keyboard skills
  • Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace
  • Listening and Verbal Communication
  • Building Relationships and People Skills
  • Organisational skills to schedule daily/monthly workload
  • Problem Solving and Multi-tasking
  • Training on the systems, processes and procedures are included.
