To undertake assembly and manufacture of joinery products, including, but not exclusively, doors, windows, curtain walling and similar sub-assemblies.

After an initial training period, the apprentice will be expected to be able to safely convert specifications and drawings into finished products using appropriate materials, power tools, handling techniques and quality checks, whilst maintaining a clear, tidy and organised workspace.

The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of duties and receive full training on:

  • Working in a workshop to make shape timber and make parts like doors, and windows (bench joiner).
  • Using tools required for joinery duties
  • Working professionally in factory premises
  • Fitting sub-assemblies
  • Building curtain wall units
  • Cutting to measurements
  • Hanging Doors
